On Nov 14, the place to be will be at the Hotel InterContinental Manila. There will be more than a hundred vendors offering a wide variety of merchandise. Unique to the Assumption bazaar is the participation of alumnae who personally design and sell one-of-a-kind items not found in other bazaars.
What is exciting to me however, isn't the shopping per se, but the food. Those who visit the Assumption College Bazaar on Nov. 14 at the hotel’s ballroom will be given a 20-percent discount on the lunch buffet at the hotel's Café Jeepney upon presentation of their bazaar tickets.
Assumption students and graduates will be given a 30-percent discount on the buffet price during the promo when dining in groups of 10—one of them gets to dine for free for every group of six partaking of the lunch buffet. A coupon printout from the Assumption Facebook network must be presented to avail oneself of group discounts. The Assumption College community will also enjoy a 10% discount on food and beverage for future hotel functions and outside catering provided that the booking for such event is made during the period of November 6 to 30, 2010. For Café Jeepney reservations or for more information on this promotion, please call 793 7000.
Copies of the cookbook are also on sale at Café Jeepney at P599 (P699 in bookstores), with the hotel donating its sales commission to the Assumption Mission Schools as well. I can hardly wait to get my copy. If you want to take a sneak peek, go to the Assumption Cookbook website.
